VINTAGE SYNTH PACK
You wanted vintage synth sounds, you GOT vintage synth sounds! Differing from the Collection 1 Synth Pack, the Vintage Synth Pack in Collection 2 is devoted to the most classic and iconic vintage synth sounds of all time. From huge Moog-style resonant filter drops and punchy 70s key bass funk, to nostalgia and chorus-drenched 80s Juno vibes, all the way to smooth but gritty 808 drops, the Vintage Synth Pack will surely satisfy all your old-school synth bass needs.
Masv Mogue
Huge resonant filter drops define what so many people love about the vintage Moog synthesizer. Think the very first note of Tom Sawyer by Rush. But because I made Masv Mogue, now you don’t need to drop 5 large on a set of vintage Moog Taurus pedals! This preset defaults to a huge filter drop sound that features footswitches for octave down, detuned oscillator, momentary octave up, and even a ‘Wet’ footswitch adding the perfect verb and delay to this already monstrous sound. A modern day warrior - mean, mean stride.
Mini Mogue
I love Moog sounds that are dark, smooth, and bubbly, barely opening the filter and so dependent on your attack articulation. Funky and percussive, think Greg Phillinganes on Thriller or Bernie Worrell with Parliament and you get Mini Mogue! Featuring an always-on comp into parallel blended drive triggering an envelope filter, this preset also gives you footswitches for octave down, chorus, and a special ‘Wobble’ effect on a momentary switch that emulates the classic Bernie mod-wheel squiggle. Tear the roof off the sucker!
Juneau
Perhaps my favorite vintage synth of all time, this preset is based on the legendary Juno 106 and emulates the coolest classic synth sounds of the 80s. Kick footswitches for octave down, filter, octave up and verb / delay combo to take your sound into nostalgia-soaked synth bass paradise. “Hey Ian, does this preset have the gorgeous, thick chorus sound Junos are known for?” IT CERTAINLY DOES. We might not be able to go back to the 80s, but Juneau will make you feel like you’re listening to the radio on your boombox wearing acid-washed jeans, drinking a new-formula Coke and playing Super Mario Bros in your mom’s basement.
8 oh 8
808 bass is EVERYWHERE in modern pop music. Originating from the 1980 Roland TR808 drum machine, this sound started as a kick drum that was tuned, gained up and manipulated by producers to actually be able to play pitched bass notes as opposed to only percussive kicks. Now YOU have the power to make these sounds on your bass guitar! Starting with a super smooth octave down, you get to choose how you saturate the sound with a variety of gain tools. Kick on a simple overdrive or get meaner with 2 levels of bitcrusher. Wanna get even nastier? I’ve even set up a cool Ring Mod effect on a footswtich so you can lean into your love for electro neo-jazz. 808 bass sounds… not just for producers anymore
