SPECIALTY PACK

We can all acknowledge that there are certain sounds that DESERVE to be one-trick ponies because the trick is SO GOOD - ie. 12 string bass, Whammy pedal, 60’s Tic Tac bass, and note freeze and hold. These are awesome and useful sounds and tools but the gear required can sometimes be over the top and impractical. The Specialist Pack is the SOLVE! You get all of these renowned sounds inside the super convenient Stomp format with all the functionality of the originals and even more!

12 String

We all want to moonlight as Jeff Ament playing Jeremy with Pearl Jam, Tom Peterson clanging away with Cheap Trick or Doug Pinnick smashing distorted riffs with King’s X. Now you can with my 12 String preset! Perfect for a power trio setup, the dual pitch functionality simulates a wide-tuned 12 string bass taking up a huge amount of sonic real estate. You play one note and 12 String plays dual octave up unison pitches slightly detuned from one another for incredible thickness. Kick on the drive footswitch through a modeled SVT rig when your guitar player takes a solo and squash the idea that your band needs that second guitar player.

Whammy

We ALL want to play cool Whammy pedal riffs like Justin Chancellor from Tool, Doug Wimbish from Living Colour or Mono Neon. But we don’t really want to have a giant Whammy or expression pedal taking up valuable pedalboard real estate. Enter my Whammy preset! You get the coolest and most useful sound of the Whammy pedal (octave up) on a momentary switch allowing you to shoot your bass lines up an octave at moments notice with the simple press of the switch! Get nasty with drive or kick on the fuzz for intense synth lead vibes!

Tic Tac

Perfect for conjuring 60s sounds and indie retro throw back vibes, Tic Tac excels at a rose-tinted look at the past through the classic effects of compression, spring reverb, slapback delay, mild overdrive and tape saturation. Using this preset, especially with a pick, is a sure-fire way to impart character and vintage vibe to any bass line. It comes up stock with everything ON, but feel free to peel back layers of effects for a huge variety of different vintage tones. Groovy.

Freezer

The ability to hold a note or chord that you play, have it sustain, and then play ideas over it is critical to your practice routine and creativity. Key context is EVERYTHING when you’re trying to “hear” unfamiliar harmony or are just writing something new. The EHX Freeze pedal came along and changed everything by giving you the ability to simply “freeze” a note or chord and play other lines and ideas over it! I’ve brought that to the Freezer preset along with another variation of this idea; Tesselator (on the second footswitch) gives you this concept but with a bit more sonic glitch and set an octave UP, moving your held notes out of bass range. Use one or the other, or try them together!
